Jenny Nieto has been with Galindo, Arias & López since 2007, as part of the Government Contracts and Public Procurement, Litigation & Dispute Resolution, and Regulatory practice groups.
In the Government Contracts and Public Procurement practice group she prepares the documents required for businesses to participate in public procurement, providing advice about bid specifications, retaliatory measures, sworn affidavits of registered shares, drafting consortium agreements, review of government contracts and performance bonds with the objective to maximize business opportunities and minimize possible litigation.
Also, she advises businesses in the analysis of public tenders and, as such, prepares for the presentation of Claims and Appeals before the Public Procurement Directorate and the Administrative Court for Public Procurement, respectively.
In the Litigation and Arbitration practice group, she focuses on procedural law (civil and administrative), offering legal advice to multinationals dedicated to providing public electrical services, mainly in procedures before the National Authority of Public Services (ASEP), and the Supreme Court of Justice. She possesses experience in civil, commercial and administrative litigation procedures. She also has participated in the development of Arbitration related to commercial and foreign investment disputes.
In the Regulatory area, she has represented some of the principal energy and technology businesses, in multitude of regulatory procedures before various governmental entities. As a member of the Regulatory team, she manages procedures and appearing before the Consumer Protection Agency of the Competition Defense Authority.
