Gabriela Vásquez has been part of the Galindo, Arias & López (GALA) team since 2011. During her career at GALA, she has focused on the areas of Labor Law and Litigation and Arbitration.
In the Labor area, she mainly advises national and multinational companies in the solution of issues that include: hiring workers, disciplinary measures, concept of salary for labor purposes and Social Security, compensation and benefits to workers, termination of labor relations, drafting of various documents such as employment contracts, termination letters, Internal Work Regulations, among others. Additionally, she provides assistance to companies regarding procedures before the Social Security Fund, as well as representation in administrative and judicial proceedings in labor matters.
Likewise, she has experience giving training on Panamanian labor legislation, including topics such as: labor benefits, policies for the prevention of bullying and harassment, labor termination procedures, among others.
In the Mergers and Acquisitions area, she actively participates from a labor perspective, in due diligence processes, representing potential buyers or sellers.
In the Litigation and Arbitration area, she has experience in administrative, labor and civil proceedings in Panama (Circuit Courts, Superior Court, Third Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice), as well as experience in conflict resolution before the Ministry of Labor of Panama.
