Beatriz Cabal joined the firm in 2008 and in 2020 she was promoted to Partner. She currently leads the Personal Data Protection team in addition to her practice in the Commercial, Regulatory and Government Contracts and Public Procurement areas. Her specialization is focused on the Telecommunications, Media and Technology, Energy, Pharmaceutical and Commerce sectors of industry.
As part of her work in her Commercial Law practice, Beatriz advises local and multinational companies in the deployment of their operations. She also specializes in national and international M&A transactions, representing buyers, sellers and targets in a wide range of industries. She leads and coordinates Due Diligence processes of companies established in the Republic of Panama, in addition to negotiating and drafting share purchase and sale contracts, asset purchase and sale contracts and other related contracts in this matter.
Regarding the Regulatory area, she represents some of the principal companies in the Telecommunications and Media (TV/Internet/Cellular), Energy and Pharmaceutical industries, in a multitude of regulatory procedures before different government entities, in addition to advising the main driver of research on data protection and information and communication technologies (ICTs).
Finally, regarding the area of Government Contracts and Public Procurement, she regularly advises multinationals interested in participating in public tenders for large-scale works in the Republic of Panama.
Beatriz publishes regularly and is an active member of the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA).
